Keep Your Car Park Running Smoothly

If there’s one thing that causes huge amounts of stress and anger, as well as wasting an awful lot of time, it’s parking spaces. Or, more accurately, the lack of them. As the UK’s roads and driveways fill with more and more vehicles, it seems like it’s becoming harder to find a place to park in order to get to work, to college or to appointments. Arriving at festivals or similar events can also be fraught if drivers can’t find a suitable parking space near to the venue, especially if they’re actually working or performing there.

A customised parking permit is the answer

The easiest way to reduce these problems is to issue staff, students, visitors and anyone else who needs to be on your premises with customised parking permits. These permits can be displayed clearly on the windscreen of the car so that traffic wardens or parking monitors know who’s allowed in and who isn’t. This makes it easier for employers, councils, sports clubs and all sorts of bodies to regulate and control the numbers of vehicles taking up parking spaces so that the entrances and exits aren’t crowded.

Resident parking with no residue

It’s not just at work premises and event venues that parking can be a huge problem. The overflow from car parks often leaks out into residential streets and despite the regular attentions of traffic wardens, people who aren’t residents just keep taking up valuable parking spaces.

Customised parking permit stickers are invaluable for resident parking as well as employee parking and with Edge Stickers’ range of vinyl cling window permits, no-one needs to worry about their windscreen becoming a mess. The permit can be cleanly removed as soon as it expires or is no longer needed, leaving no trace on the glass. If people prefer to use self-adhesive stickers, however, then low-residue glue offers an effective bond whilst peeling away without leaving glue behind. This doesn’t mean that these stickers are not durable, however. If they need to stay on a vehicle for a year or longer then we have the right adhesive to suit the task.

Seeing both sides

If you need permits that display their lettering on both sides, then that’s not a problem. It’s also possible to produce stickers that can be written on – so that drivers can enter dates, registration numbers, the purpose of the visit and so on.

Our pigments and inks are highly UV-resistant, too, so that they’re clearly legible even after a season or two in the sun. This is important when it comes to parking hotspots as you never know when an over-zealous warden will pass by…

Come and talk to us about your needs

You might be looking for parking permits for an event you have coming up, or for your sports or members-only club. Alternatively, you may need a constant supply of permits for residential parking. Whatever you need, we can advise you on the design, layout and ink and adhesive type so that you get the best out of your permits.

For different people the word car stickers can mean different things.

So, here is some useful definitions to help to clear things up:

Car Window Stickers

These are reverse printed window stickers (often white backed) that are stuck on the inside of a car window, facing outside. They are often made from static-cling (non-adhesive) although they can also be made from self-adhesive vinyl

All window stickers (whether for car or not) first start out as transparent. The image is then reverse printed onto the transparent vinyl and then a white backing is often placed over the top to ensure the image appears opaque and solid when looked at from outside the window.

Bumper Stickers

These are vinyl stickers that are placed on the outside of the vehicle (often on bumpers – hence the name).

Since these stickers have to go through some very harsh conditions (stone chips on road and car washes!) these stickers are often laminated with a clear film of vinyl to give then extra protection.

Bumper stickers are the most common type of car sticker, especially in the USA!

Car Decals

These are often single-colour decals computer cut from sheets of self-adhesive vinyl. The can be lettering or shapes and are often used to provide signage on vans or commercial vehicles.

Vehicle Wraps

This type of car sticker has become popular in the last five years or so. This is where the entire car is covered with a printed vinyl covering, completely transforming the look of the vehicle.

To save our customers money, we now allow orders to be split over multiple designs as long as the DIMENSIONS OF EACH DESIGN IS THE SAME

For example, if you require 1000 stickers, split between a blue design and a red design, then you will select 2 from the Number of Designs option (use the option "Do you want you sticker order split over multiple designs?") from the custom stickers order page.

This will allow you to maximise your quantity discount and avoid paying twice our minimum order charge.

By default we will split your order evenly over the number of designs (e.g. for 2 designs over 1000 stickers we will print each design 500 times). However, if you wish for us to split the sticker unevenly then please let us know by entering comments in the comment field during the order process.

Car window stickers are reverse-printed onto a transparent vinyl. Whilst we do not have to add a white backing we do strongly recommend adding a solid white underlay so the image appears strong, without becoming translucent.

We can also print window stickers with a custom shaped backing if required (again please call or email us to discuss these options).
